Education & Faith Formation

Every member of St. John’s is welcome and encouraged to participate in the many rich educational and faith formation programs at our church including our Children’s and Youth Programs, Faith Forums, Bible studies, group fellowship experiences and more.

Our youngest members attend our nursery and church school programs for ages infant through grade 5. Students in grades 6-12 participate in our youth programs.

Each Sunday at 9:30 am in Hubbard Hall from September through May we offer a Faith Forum for adults, featuring guest speakers or parish members on topics such as faith in the workplace, healing prayer, telling the story of our faith journeys, and more. On occasion we also have an intergenerational events for both adults and children/youth. Please see the Events listing for upcoming Faith Forums and related events.

There are many ways to get involved with our faith and formation programs: teach in our church school, mentor one of our youth programs or volunteer at one of our intergenerational events. Your ideas and suggestions are welcome too! We look forward to having you join us on our shared journey of Christian life.

The video below was made on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at an intergenerational Faith Forum in which children and adults worked together on activities to honor, remember and build on the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Click on the video below to hear St. John’s members of all ages talk about Dr. King’s influence on them and our community:
