The facilities of St. John’s Episcopal Church are available to non-profit organizations of an educational, religious, character-building, community-building, or artistic nature whose activities align with our mission and that intend to use our facilities for other than money-raising purposes. Priority is given to organizations that have a connection to the parish and/or one of our ministries. We do not make our facilities available for private social events or private music events; exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis for active members of the parish.
Our facilities include:

  • a large parish hall, which can be divided into two spaces (a smaller carpeted vestibule area, and a larger wood-floored reception hall);
  • a commercial-grade kitchen;
  • an education wing, with a large central space surrounded by smaller classrooms;
  • a Reception Room furnished with comfortable chairs, rugs, a gas fireplace and a kitchenette with microwave, sink, and refrigerator; and
  • several other meeting rooms.

We ask that outside groups give a donation to help cover the costs of utilities and maintenance. Our Building Use Agreement includes suggested donation amounts, which are dependent on group size, the room(s) used, and the length of the event. Enlisting the help of our sexton to provide set-up or clean-up, help with audiovisual equipment, or provide other assistance incurs an additional fee. In most cases, outside groups must provide proof of liability insurance to use space at St. John’s.

To inquire about availability of space for your event, contact the parish office at 860-523-5201 or [email protected].
