Faith Forums, Bible study, & other programs for adults
We offer a Faith Forum for adults almost every Sunday of the program year (mid-September through early June) at 9:30 a.m.
Faith Forums feature presentations and conversations on a variety of topics and led by those from the parish and elsewhere, along with intergenerational events to which both adults and children are invited. The best way to learn about upcoming Faith Forum topics is to subscribe to our e-newsletters.
We also host an online Bible study for adults on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. (on Zoom).
The Monday evening online Bible study focuses on a particular theme or scripture for 4 to 6 weeks at a time, with a few weeks off between each session. Each Monday evening study is open to all adults, who are welcome to attend any or all sessions. There is no homework or preparation required. For more information and to get the Zoom link, contact the Reverend Margie Baker and/or subscribe to our e-newsletters.
Episcopal/St. John’s 101
Several times a year, we offer a class for people who are new to St. John’s and the Episcopal Church, as well as those who have been at the church for a while and just want to understand more about the theology and practices that inform our worship and ministry. Some classes are scheduled for a weekday evening, and others for Sunday mornings.
Other adult education and formation programs include special programs, retreats, and book studies. To keep informed about what’s coming up, subscribe to our e-newsletters and/or read the announcements in the Sunday bulletin.
