Confirmation
Confirmation is the reaffirmation of one's Baptismal Vows (The Book of Common Prayer, pp 302-305) in the presence of a Bishop. Youth prepare for Confirmation in the course of their regular Journey to Adulthood (J2A) classes, supplemented by additional sessions with the clergy. Adults who wish to be confirmed are asked to contact the clergy to arrange for instruction. St. John's Church presents candidates for Confirmation to the Bishop every other year at the Easter Vigil service in Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford. The next Confirmation is scheduled for Easter Eve, 2012 (April 7).
