Journey to Adulthood

Journey to Adulthood (J2A) is a program of spiritual formation for teens, addressing their concerns and needs in the context of loving mentors, a loving church community, and a loving God. The J2A program is for young people in grades 6-12 and there are three two-year components in the J2A curriculum. The J2A program meets nearly every Sunday morning of the academic school year from 9:30am-10:15am.

Rite 13, Grades 6-8
Named after a rite-of-passage that takes place close to the teen's 13th birthday; this is a time to forge friendships, learn how to apply Scripture to daily life, and learn how to live in and reach out to the community.

J2A, Grades 8-10
Now on the journey, teens learn adult skills in the context of Scripture, begin to put their faith into practice and work towards the sacrament of Confirmation and a pilgrimage.

Young Adults in Church (YAC), Grades 10-12
YAC acknowledges teens as young adults who have acquired adult skills, and asks them to help manage their own program, declare a ministry in the church, choose a mission project and write their own credo.
